Ms. DelaPaz - 8th Grade ELA

Hello Skybrooke K-8 Family! I am so excited to be joining your school as the 8th grade ELA teacher! This year will be my 30th year of teaching, and I still get excited about it every single day! My time in Pasco County Schools has mostly been spent teaching 3rd–5th grade at Trinity Oaks, 7th grade Science and ELA at SSMS, and 8th grade ELA at Starkey Ranch K-8. Outside of the classroom, I love spending time with my family (especially my baby granddaughter, Lola!), traveling (mostly to Italy!), reading, and hanging at the beach. I can’t wait to meet my new students and begin our learning adventure together!

Ms. Novitsky - 1st Grade

Hi Skybrooke family! I’m so excited to be a part of this team and to get to know all of you! This is my 3rd year teaching 1st grade and I’m so excited to continue this journey! Outside of work I love to spend time with my boyfriend, family, friends, workout, read books, cook/bake and spend time outdoors! This is going to be a great year and I’m so excited to be a Bobcat :blush:

Ms. Spiegel - 5th Grade STEM

I am excited to join the Skybrooke family and begin my 17th year of teaching in Pasco County Schools. Over the years, I have enjoyed helping students learn, grow, and gain confidence. This year, I am thrilled to be teaching 5th Grade STEM at Skybrooke K-8. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Patrick, and our two children, who also attend Skybrooke. I love playing pickleball, taking walks with my two pups, and reading at the beach.

Ms. Saums - 1st Grade

I am thrilled to begin my 31st year of teaching as a Bobcat! During my career, I have had the opportunity to teach students in first through fourth grade and have loved helping children learn, grow and gain confidence in their abilities. Outside of school, I am the proud mother of two children. My daughter is 24 and my son is 17. I look forward to getting to know my students, their families, and my fellow staff members as we work together to make this a wonderful year for all of our Bobcats!

Ms. Nieves - Assistant Principal, Middle School

Hi everyone, I am excited to meet all of you as your new Assistant Principal. I am joining the Skybrooke-K8 family with 5 years of experience as an Assistant Principal at Cypress Creek Middle School and a former High School ELA Teacher. When I am not with my work family, I can be found with my husband, our two dogs, or our families (including my newborn niece) at either at the beach or pool while enjoying a book in hand!

Ms. Cook - CTE Athletic Injury

I am so excited to be part of the Skybrooke family. I am starting my 19th year of teaching, with most of my experience in kindergarten. I am a Pasco County Schools graduate and married to my high school sweetheart, Tim. We have 2 children, Jackson (14-Sunlake) and Abby (12-Skybrooke K-8). We have 2 dogs, Maverick and Brooks. I enjoy the beach and spending time with my family. I am really looking forward to teaching in my community and being part of the Bobcat family as your Health Science teacher!

Ms. Morris - Assistant Principal

I am excited to join the Bobcat family! This year marks my 20th year in education, with experience in Texas and Florida as a kindergarten teacher, third grade teacher, and administrator. I am married to my husband, Jeff, and we have a Cairn Terrier named Riker. In my free time, I enjoy Disney and board games. I look forward to an amazing year learning and growing with our Bobcat community!

Ms. Fleming - 5th Grade STEM

I’m thrilled to become part of the Bobcat community! For the past ten years I’ve worked with Pasco County Schools, and I previously worked in Texas, North Carolina, and Puerto Rico. During the last four years, I taught 5th-grade English language arts, and gifted ELA at Odessa Elementary. I have been happily married for 30 years, and we have two wonderful children. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family, going to the beach, biking, gardening, and reading.

Ms. Mitchell - 5th Grade STEM

I am excited to begin my 19th year of teaching in Pasco County Schools! I have taught K, 1st, and 4th grade at Trinity Oaks Elementary, and spent the past four years at Odessa Elementary teaching 5th Grade Gifted STEM. I am passionate about helping students think creatively, challenge themselves, and love learning. Outside the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our two children—a son (16) and a daughter (4). We love hanging in the pool and making family memories, especially trips to Disney. I am thrilled to be joining the Bobcat family!

Ms. Acosta - Clinic Assistant

I am so excited to join the Bobcat family! After 25 years of working in the dental industry, I had the opportunity to become a clinic assistant. I enjoy spending time with my three grandchildren and I am happily married to my high school sweetheart for over thirty years! I look forward to meeting all the wonderful staff and students! Go Bobcats!

Ms. Wright - 3rd Grade STEM

I am thrilled to join the Skybrooke family as a 3rd grade teacher this year. I have a passion for helping students learn, grow, and build confidence inside and outside the classroom. When I’m not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Ian and two daughters, Brynlee (13) and Kelsie (10). I enjoy crafts of all kinds, photography, DIY home projects and being outdoors. You can often find me with a coffee in hand and cheering on my girls at the softball field, volleyball court or track!

Ms. Martin - 7th Grade Civics

Hello Skybrooke! I’m excited to be entering my tenth-year teaching middle school social studies. I’ve spent my teaching career at Cypress Creek Middle School and am eager for new experiences. Outside of teaching, my husband and I have two toddler boys. We spend our time with extended family, traveling to Disney, and watching sports. I’m looking forward to growing with the Bobcat community as a teacher and eventually a parent when our boys can start at Skybrooke!
