Preflight Checklist

Before our kindergarten events, please make sure you have completed the items below.

Register for Kindergarten

Join the PTO

We encourage families to get involved with our Skybrooke PTO! PTO membership helps support our school, students, staff, and family events throughout the year.

Purchase a Kindergarten Shirt

Parents and students are encouraged to purchase kindergarten shirts so that everyone can match on field trips throughout the school year.

Day 1: Meet the Teacher

Date: July 30, 2026

Families are invited to come meet their child’s kindergarten teacher and visit their new classroom.

Meet the Teacher Times

Please attend based on the first letter of your child’s last name:

A–F: 9:00–9:30 a.m.
G–N: 9:30–10:00 a.m.
O–Z: 10:00–10:30 a.m.

What to Bring

Please bring your child’s school supplies to drop off in their new classroom.

Families should also bring their child’s backpack so it can be tagged for their method of dismissal.

Day 2: Kindergarten Camp

Date: July 31, 2026

Kindergarten Camp gives students the opportunity to get to know Skybrooke, their classroom, and their teacher before the first day of school.

Schedule

Kindergarten Camp: 9:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.
Parent Presentation: 9:15–9:45 a.m.
Optional Parent Tour: 9:50 a.m.

What to Bring

Students should bring a lunch and a water bottle.

Cost

The cost is $50 and includes a snack, craft, and other materials for the day.

April 22

Skybrooke K-8 is excited to welcome future Bobcats and their families to our Kindergarten Round Up.

This event is for all Skybrooke families who are zoned for the school or have accepted school choice and have a child who will be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2026.

Time: 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM
Location: Skybrooke K-8 Cafeteria

What to Expect

Families who attend will have the chance to:

• Learn more about Skybrooke K-8 and important school systems
• Take a guided tour of the campus
• Participate in a special Round Up craft
• Meet some of our amazing teachers and staff

Who Should Attend

This event is designed for families with incoming kindergarten students who meet the age requirement for the 2026–2027 school year.
