Attention Incoming 6th Grade Bobcat Families! We are excited to invite all incoming 6th grade students to Boarding Bobcats, Skybrooke K-8's middle school transition experience designed to help students prepare for a successful launch into 6th grade! As part of our 2026-2027 theme, Destination Excellence, students will embark on an exciting journey through key middle school "destinations" while connecting with staff, learning school expectations, and building confidence before the first day of school.

๐Ÿ•’ Time: 3:00 PM โ€“ 5:00 PM

๐Ÿ“Location: Skybrooke K-8

During Boarding Bobcats, students will:

๐Ÿ—“๏ธ Learn how to read and navigate their class schedule

๐ŸŽ’ Explore executive functioning and organizational tips for success

๐Ÿˆ Learn about athletics, clubs, and positive behavior expectations

๐Ÿ“Š Understand grading practices and academic recovery opportunities

๐Ÿ”’ Practice using middle school lockers

๐Ÿ‘• Create a commemorative tie-dye shirt

๐Ÿพ Connect with fellow Bobcats and begin building middle school friendships

Students will travel through the experience in their assigned B.L.A.Z.E. Crew, named after our Skybrooke Bobcat mascot, while participating in interactive activities designed to prepare them for middle school success. This event is intended for students and serves as an opportunity for them to become comfortable with middle school routines, expectations, and opportunities in a fun, engaging environment before the school year begins.

Parent Session: Life with a Middle Schooler While students are participating in Boarding Bobcats, parents and guardians who are new to middle school are invited to attend Life with a Middle Schooler from 3:00โ€“3:35 PM in the gymnasium. Whether your child is your first middle schooler or you simply want a refresher, this session is designed to help families feel informed, prepared, and connected before the school year begins.
